Exploring the relationship that the individual has to the nation, looking at the personification of homeland, and the communal romanticization of the construct of nation. Each painting is written by different people and is addressed to Mexico. The images that accompany them, stand for the photos or postcards that would be sent along with the letters. This is a collection of the subjective histories that we tell ourselves about our nation, a mediation between mediums, between language and image.

Explorando la relación que el individuo crea con la nación, en un ejercicio de personificación de la patria, y de un romanticismo colectivo hacia la tierra que forja nuestra identidad. Cada carta/pintura esta escrita por diferentes Mexicano/as. Todas se dirigen a México. Las imágenes que acompañan a las cartas, son las postales o fotos que el remitente recibiría en este intercambio epistolar. Y en su totalidad conforman una compilación de historias subjetivas, una mediación entre lenguaje e imagen, y la traducción de las cartas al formato de una pintura.
